BETT Creativity Zone 2005
Ultralab (1990-2006)’s Maureen Gurr and myself headed into London on Wednesday to meet with the planning group who decide, propose and plan the BETT Creativity Zone feature at The BETT Show in London. BETT happens every January.
I have been involved for the past three years in the feature stand, which is one of the few stands at the show visited by 22,000 people each year which is not selling anything.
Our objective is to show the audience of the show how technology can be used for creative purpose.
For the past three years the stand has been called ‘BETT Goes to the Movies’.
This year we are going one step more with more project partners coming onboard and supporting this free feature. For this year (Jan 2005) the stand will be called ‘The Creativity Zone’.
As ever, Ultralab (1990-2006) will provide the ONLY children to attend the BETT show, believe it or not no children are allowed in the exhibition, even though the whole thing is about education.
Each year we invite different schools we work with to come to London and show the visitors of the show what can be done with technology.
This year Apple, Ultralab (1990-2006), Media Education Wales, Film Education, South Street Productions and eMap are joined by Solutions, Welcome.
Another exciting Ultralab (1990-2006) project.
