Last weekend my wife Justina, I, and our two kids drove to Rochester in Kent to see the in-laws.

On Saturday afternoon I got a bit itchy for a road trip, and suggested we all pile into the Van and drive, booking Travelodge stays on route.

We did.

Jus and I love road trips, but had not done one for a while. We used to often travel down to Dover, get on a ferry and then drive as many countries as we could in a few days… Great fun.

So, this time…

Justina wanted to see an A380 land, so we went to Manchester Airport…. I wanted to buy an iPhone car charger, so we went to Trafford Centre, and Justina’s parents suggested the North East Coast as a pretty part of the world, so we crossed the UK and ended up in the North Yorkshire Moor.

Travelodge was dirt cheep, Toby Carvery did all you can eat breakfast for £3.99, crossing the UK from Manchester to Sedgefield is a very pretty road, Greggs have opened up at Motorway Service Stations! ….  and a Chrysler Grand Voyager is very efficient on Motorway miles…

Road trip!  Just do it.
