Just saying... Took on a city shopping centre shop in 2010 in The Meadows Chelmsford. The rates on the shop were £5109 a MONTH. Wrote repeatedly in 2010/2011 to Priti Patel MP and Vince Cable MP saying “if you don’t do something about ridiculously high rates in shopping centres and on the adjacent high street the shops will die.” Got rubbish replies, no support or sign of change. Forseeing the issue, refused to sign a 5 year lease and then closed the shop... 8 years later.... The Meadows is a ghost ship... and...
