Wow... Last year the Infant School said he was impossible to get any work from, and removed him from class, removed the shoes from his feet and reduced his timetable so he was out of school more than in it. We used to get calls from the school daily asking us to either come and get him, or come and look at the destruction he had caused, we would find him often in the school hall, on the floor, no shoes, in a state, distressed. His medical heathcare observation file is a foot wide. Since the age of three he’s been different... observed, tested, brain scanned, even offered medication...has his own doctor, etc... mainly because he showed unusual interests beyond his age and struggled to engage with other children. Although he struggled at school in Reception and Year 1 he did try hard...and has always been well liked by other kids... but when he entered Year 2 his world fell apart... Final year of infant school broke him, he was shut down and isolated from being himself, cut loose from his class, and from December 2017 to July 2018 he produced no work... sadly he fell behind, and rather than help support him... he was removed from his class table, to a corner, to a desk outside, to a …
