Magical moment tonight when Ryan’s swimming teacher called me over to watch Ryan do front crawl across the pool. “I’m speechless” she said... “how?”..... , after nearly two years of Ryan disliking swimming lessons and countless battles with him to go and follow instructions... he got in the pool and swam perfectly across the length, turned and came back, at speed, like an absolute pro. “I can’t believe it” said the instructor “where on earth did that come from”... She went on to remind me Ryan often splashes about and appears to not be listening, but when she quizzes on what she just said, he repeats it all back perfectly... Later, when questioned on his sudden pro swimming skills he said “I always knew how to swim, I told you I did, you just wouldn’t believe me...” I asked “If you can swim like that, why only today did you show us?”... to which he said “I wasn’t bored”....
