Sad day for Ryan today, as one of his two school Support Assistants, Carol … retired. Carol had been with the same school working with SEN Children since 1999, Ryan was her last child at the school that she supported and she was excellent, taking him out to the gate as always and saying goodbye. Ryan really struggles with change, so we’re hoping that he’ll be okay with whoever takes over in January. But tonight he sent a Christmas card, like he always does, to the support teacher who worked with him in 2018/2019 (and got him back on the rails) back in Essex days. Two great support assistants, 300 miles apart. Those that can, teach.
