Seven years later, now aged 13 and at the end of year eight, it's time for Ryan's 'EHCP' (Education Health Care Plan) review for 2024. Justina and I met with Ryan's teacher this afternoon. There are no causes for concern; he's made huge progress in Spelling and Maths. His report is glowing—he's doing really well. Ryan starts year nine next week (before the summer break) and will be in a class with just seven children, supported by an excellent teacher and a team of four support assistants. We fought hard against the system for this school opportunity, but Ryan fought even harder once his bum was in the seat. To the little boy who said he couldn't do it... you did, son. You did.
