Facebook has been absolutely flooded with tributes to Adam the Woo. The algorithm does what it does… it shows you what you engage with… which works… until what it’s showing you is just relentlessly sad. And right now… it’s really, really sad. For the past few days, post after post has been about Adam. TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram — all flooded with tributes. It feels right to add one. Justina and I first started watching Adam back in 2012 while we were out in the USA (we love the USA). He was one of the very first daily vloggers we followed, and we even went to some of the places he’d filmed — because he showed them. He was interesting because he’d had enough of the usual cycle of life … work to pay rent, to work, to pay rent … the endless loop as he called it. So he sold everything he owned, moved into his van, and travelled the USA making films. We’ve watched countless videos over the past 13 years. We didn’t know Adam personally. But that’s kind of the point. He defined adventure in the quietest, kindest way … just getting out there, exploring, recording the world as it was, and inviting you along.
