Today was Ryan’s annual EHCP review and, honestly, it could not have gone much better. He absolutely smashed his targets this year. His Year 10 teacher, Gail, is genuinely delighted with how well he is doing, which as a parent is always lovely to hear. On the way out I also bumped into Adam, who taught Ryan through Years 7, 8 and 9, and he was just as positive. I think he was equally impressed and slightly stunned by the fact Ryan now appears to be about six foot taller than when he first arrived at the school. Both Gail and Adam have been absolutely brilliant and exactly what Ryan needed. The school are already starting the process of carefully phasing his transition into Year 11 this September… and then onwards to college in September 2027, which somehow doesn’t even feel real yet. It just shows that in the right environment, with the right tools, support, space and people around them… anything is possible. Proud of our son.
